Recognizing the absence of written materials for women considering adoption, Ms. Foge and Ms. Mosconi were determined to produce a guidebook that could provide answers and support to birthmothers. This guide begins with an overview of the adoption process in this country and then gives input and consideration to women first finding out about their pregnancies. The Third Choice takes potential birthmothers through their pregnancies, the birth, the relinquishment process, and the grief and recovery periods afterward.
